My coatigan envy started a while back. My mate Mandy, (whose name has not been changed to protect her identity) has the perfect one. Olive green, loose knit, not too smart, just above the knee, an extra layer, but not too warm. Ticked all the boxes. When I first spotted her in it, I had a brief peruse of the internet, with a view to shamelessly copying her, but turned up nothing. I gave up.

I don’t usually give up, but there is only a brief window when you can wear a coatigan. Or a biker jacket for that matter. About a month after summer and a month around April and that’s it. But this autumn seems to be lasting quite a long time. So I thought I’d take up the search once more.

I think the green one is going to get my vote. If it hasn’t sold out by the time I’ve made up my mind. Everything seems to be selling out just before I buy it these days. Nightmare.
