Inbetweener wardrobe

I love this time of year. It’s my favourite. Especially this sort of weather, all bright blue skies, winter sun and autumnal leaves. Perfect. Tricky to get dressed though, it’s not quite cold enough for a proper winter coat, it’s too early boots but it’s too cold for flip-flops. So, what to wear? Here are my picks of what to wear in this weird inbetweener bit. Soon, it will be too cold, so make the most of it while you can.

My first pick was going to be this longline cardie from Zara, but it sodding sold out, in the time it took me to write this blog and has yet to come back in stock in my size.

Here it is, rather worryingly there isn’t even a link on the site anymore….

Luckily this one is still in stock. Bra optional, apparently.

Zara Long Cable Knit Coat £89.99

Let’s move on to some other light coats that you can wear now as is and layer up when it gets proper chilly. Or just round the house so you can delay putting the heating on even longer.

Mango Classic Cotton Trench £79.99

There are quite a few leather trenches around at the minute and they’ve really turned my head. Especially this one.

Massimo Dutti Nappa Leather Trench £499.00

Moving on to what to wear on your feet, if you’re bored of trainers, but not ready for boots. These are just the ticket. I already own these, and they are well handy. Obviously, they go with dresses and work outfits, but they also manage to take your casual stuff up a notch. Everyone bangs on about having pieces in your wardrobe that can be dressed up or down. These tick that box.

GH Bass Albany Saddle Loafers in white leather were £150 now £30

That said, I’ve still got a lot of love for trainers too. These from Veja could tide me over until my DM boots come into play.

Veja Logo print sneakers £117

Leather is everywhere this season. I’ve already mentioned that the trench has had a makeover, but there’s also a really big trend for leather kecks, which we’ll look at in more detail soon. My last biker jacket came from Stradavarius and the faux leather peeled off so I’m in the market for another one. You don’t get to wear them for long so it is worth spending loads?

Lipsy @ Next Faux Leather Biker Jacket £58

Also available in khaki and camel. If that’s your thing. Oh, and it comes in petite sizing too. One final mention, not strictly speaking an inbetweener item, more of an all year round item, but if you haven’t already you really should have one of these in your wardrobe.

Other Stories Oversized Denim Jacket was £85 now £51

I think next time I might get stuck into some colder weather items. Have a good week, enjoy the glorious weather and go kick up some leaves in the park. Have you put your heating on yet?
