(** and a couple of other colours as well).
Assuming that you’re old enough to remember the “you’ve been tangoed” advert, but then I guess, if you’re not old enough to remember it, you’re unlikely to be reading this blog post.
I know it feels trivial and pointless to be writing about spring trends when there is a war raging in Europe, but I thought it might be nice to provide some sort of escape from all the serious shit that’s happening in the world right now.
Let’s get down to it. I’ve been thinking about new items I’d like to add to my wardrobe this season. This post covers all the brightly coloured pieces that have caught my eye, that seem to be everywhere right now. Next time I’ll look at some more neutral options that I’ve got my eye on.
I read somewhere recently, that you should only wear tights when the month has an “r” in it. I then read somewhere else that April is going to be pretty scorchio, so maybe March will be the last tight wearing month until September this year (assuming you buy in to the whole month/tight etiquette malarky).
Regardless of the etiquette, hopefully April will deliver on the weather, because I can’t wait to wear these.
Next Signature Asymmetric Strap Sandals in Orange £56

& Other Stories Orange Handbag £75
I love the shape of this bag, it looks as though it would sit under your arm really comfortably and would hold quite a bit of junk. It seems to have sold out at & Other Stories, but you can still get it from Yoox (which is where the title links to).

More tango options, again at Next. This could be really a handy layer and I love the way it’s been styled here.
Next Longline Cardigan in Orange Ochre £26

You know I can’t resist wide leg trousers, and I don’t have a hot pink pair.
M&S Crepe Drawstring Pink Wide Leg Trousers £29.50

Or these violet ones, which are sold out in my size at the moment, but I’m hopeful they will come back in stock…
M&S Jersey Wide Leg Trousers £35

I’ve always been partial to a pencil skirts, but I don’t really have the opportunity to wear them as much as I’d like. What I love about this one, apart from the colour, is that it doesn’t have a massive split in it. I loathe splits because they always flap open when you’re walking, flashing loads of leg, and/or put your bloomers on show when you sit down.
Zara Pencil Skirt with Flaps £32.99

I bloody love this. Just need to create an event to wear it to.
Reiss Layla Sleeveless Bodycon Dress £198

Lighter days are coming people, in every sense of the term. Have a great week.
