Where is the sun? It’s June next week. The weather has not got the memo about lockdown being lifted and us all wanting to go out. It’s a terrible state of affairs. These are the things I’ve been coveting/buying this week to get me over the trauma. It’s a long list.
Couple of things. Who the hell decided to call this a gilet? A gilet is one of those padded things people wear when they walk the dog. This is a waistcoat. It also comes in black.

This is natural. It’s gentle. But it does what it says on the tin. Rosehip oil naturally contains Vitamin A & C so it’s a good way to even out skin tone. I make my teenage boys use this too, because whilst it’s great at the cleansing it doesn’t strip away any oils which makes your skin produce more oil and then you get spotty.

Local brand FWP by Rae. I don’t like slogan t-shirts, they have a naff stigma for me. I’m not alone. I read Fleishman is in Trouble (which you should read) and the protagonist had similarly strong views about slogan t-shirts too. But I’m strangely addicted to these, I’ve got nearly all of them. They’re ethically made too. I just bought this one.

This dress was supposed to be in last week’s “the dress edit” post, but I couldn’t remember where it was from. Etsy. It’s from Etsy. How cute is this? This is one of those, “dress it up dress it down” items that fashion editors are always banging on about but I never seem to be able to style, but in this case I think I actually could. It comes in mint as well, but I can’t picture it in mint. Strange price though – 86 and half pence? What?

When this first came to the UK, you could only get it as an “in salon” treatment. There were three places in Surrey that stocked it. Just three. All miles away, but I made the trek because no 3 is a truly life changing conditioner, especially for dyed hair. Fast forward about five years and Olaplex has just been voted best haircare brand in the Sunday Times Style beauty awards. With good reason. They make lots of different numbers now. No 7 is epic. I put some on my just washed hair (be careful you don’t use too much it makes my hair a little oily). It uses some special science type magic to repair split ends and makes it all shiny. I dye my hair and this stops it getting all brittle. Blonde hair doesn’t really do shiny in the same way as dark hair does. But this helps.

Think this will come in handy when the sun comes out. I’ve clearly got a thing for this colour this week.

Ok, I’m going to check the weather for the weekend. Have a good bank holiday ‘n all that.
