Every month I write a list on my phone of clothes that have caught my eye, or a beauty product that has an ace review, or just skincare that I’ve just ran out of, and then when I get paid, I consult the list and buy the things I need and a few bits I want. This week, I thought I’d share this month’s list.
I’m a reluctant gym goer, so I like and inducement to get me to go. I haven’t been back to my gym since they opened in April, because they aren’t running classes until May 17th, at least not at my gym. I can’t motivate myself on my own. I need a PT or to go to a class, so I’ve been doing zoom classes until I can go. I also think this might cheer me up on my first visit back.

Fake Bake Bronzie 3-in1 Mitt £14.99
I love a bit of fake tan. My natural skin tone is spam coloured, so I like to put a bit of tan on before I get my legs out. Plus it does make you look a bit slimmer. Brands I love are St. Tropex, Tan Luxe and Isle of Paradise (all of which you can get from Boots). I’m pretty good at applying self tan (although I’ve had some shockers). Feet, hands and knees tend to be my downfall. I also find it tricky to do my back. Not from now on. I imagine you can sort of use this on your back the way you would a towel when you’re getting dry. If they don’t work, I can always use them as oven gloves.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra-Light Invisible Fluid Sun Cream SPF50 50ml £13.12
Skincare. There are loads of gurus out there. Caroline Hirons, Nadine Baggott, Sarah Jossel, are a few of the people I rate. Most of the time. They do sometimes have differing opinions on things like whether you need a special eye cream or a special cream for your decolletage etc., but they ALL, whoever they are, they ALL agree that we need to wear SPF factor 50. EVERY. DAY. That you go outside. No it doesn’t count if your foundation has SPF in. It’s the best way to prevent sun damage and therefore ageing. Put it on over your moisturiser.
I got on board with this a few years ago. I use a Garnier one at the minute, which works fine. But La Roche Posay (love this brand) have just brought this out and it’s getting great reviews. Odd name though.

Next up. Bias cut skirts. I’m a bit obsessed with these two images. Although I wouldn’t wear a bikini top, going to wear something that covers a bit more flesh. Also, I have some bits of both of these outfits already, so I went in search of the slip skirts to finish the outfits off. Oh and a stone vest top.

And this is what I came up with. I’ve ordered the skirts and I bought the top the other day, so I’ll see how I get on. I’m not sure the stone colour will work on my “spam” coloured skin, may have to break open the false tan.

H&M Ribbed Vest Top £3.99
New Look Bias Cut Satin Midi Skirt £19.99
More skincare. I need to replace this little set. Which is available from M&S. I’m not exaggerating when I say, this set is the bollocks. The cream in the little tub is used under the eyes and does a stand up job of keeping creases at bay. But it’s the uplift cream that has a place in my heart for it’s magical properties. A while back I noticed my mascara was getting smudged on my upper eyelid. On closer inspection, the lids were getting baggy (vom). What sort of fresh hell is this? Was my first thought. Then I did some research and it turns out I’m not alone, because I found this. I’m not kidding when I say, my eyelids aren’t baggy anymore. No joke, this cream fixed it. I panic if I run out.
Prai Ageless Eye Discovery Duo £25

Free People Fuji Thermal Top Heather Grey £58
Usually, I have an outfit in mind when I buy something. Not this time. I just want this. Don’t see how it’s thermal if it’s off the shoulder like, but lets not split hairs. It comes in eleventy billion different colours as well. It’s also got thumbholes. Which I find very pleasing, for some unknown reason.

Would love to hear if you have a monthly shopping list and if so, what’s on it this month. Have a good week.
