This week M&S have added Jaeger to their ever increasing ranks of brands they now stock. They already stock a limited range from Finery London, Hobbs and White Stuff, as well as loads of great beauty brands. Their clothes sales have decreased in recent years, so I’m guessing this new collaboration is too boost sales. Whatever the reason. I’m loving it.
I’ve also been buying a few things lately and happened to notice they were mostly from M&S. So, regardless of the fact that it has a reputation for being antwacky, this post is dedicated to M&S. I heart you.
Also, in my excitement to get my wardrobe back on track for the lockdown lifting, I totally forgot to book tables in beer gardens etc and now everywhere, literally EVERYWHERE is booked.
Anyway, the Jaeger drop. There is a lot of linen in there, and I don’t do linen. If I ran for PM it would be in my manifesto to ban it totally. I digress. There are loads of foundation type pieces that are brilliant for building a capsule wardrobe. Here are my picks.
Jaeger Trench Coat £199
Jaeger Leather Collarless Biker Jacket £249
Jaeger Crepe Slim Fit Cigarette Trousers £79
Other things I’ve been buying this week are these slingbacks from Autograph. I know in some quarters kitten heels are considered antwacky (I know a lot of Scousers think so at any rate), but regardless, I love these. I’m always a 4 at M&S, but I had to go down a half size, as they come up big. They also come in cream and black, but I went for the turquoise pictured.
Autorgraph Square Toe Slingbacks £65

I also bought this blazer, which went down to £22, and by pure coincidence happens to have a turquoise check in it. Handy.
Tailored Check Blazer £22

My sister says, that I can’t go out of the house without buying a pair of wide leg trousers. She may have a point. I’m on the waiting list for these in the ivory, but they also come in a lovely tomato red colour, blue, tan and black. But I’ve pretty much got those colours covered already, so I just need these for the full set.
Wide Leg Trousers £39.50

I’ve also been buying hoodies. Ah, hoodies. Let me count the ways. I’ve always been a fan, and then I saw this outfit from ME+EM last season (this outfit also ticks the wide leg trouser box too, which makes me happy). I’ve recreated this outfit in several slightly different guises, as the hoody is a great way to add another layer, whilst sitting in someone’s garden. Not a beer garden though, because I can’t get in one, until about November. FFS.

Marks & Spencer Super soft hoodie £19.50
I also bought a yellow one.

The beauty range at M&S has come a long way too. Again they’ve started to stock loads of ace brands, like Pixi, ren, Neils Yard, prai and murad to name but a few. Their Absolute sleep cream sells out regularly. M&S now also stock Living Proof, which is up there with Kerastase for me.
Living Proof Colour Care Shampoo £24

It doesn’t matter that you only have a Food Hall type M&S near you, you can collect in store, often the next day. If you spend over fifty notes they deliver for free too.
Have a good week, I’m jealous if you’ve managed to book a beer garden. x
