I have gone back to work in an office after * whispers it * eighteen years. And I am struggling with my wardrobe. A lot.
It’s not one of those offices where everyone is suited and booted, it’s sort of smart casual, which has got to be in the top five most contradictory phrases of all time. I either do totally smart or jogging bottoms. Plus, the office is cold. So, what to wear?
In the cold weather, I’ve settled on the idea that my work uniform is going to look a bit like this…
I have some of these items in my wardrobe already and today I am in fact wearing the first outfit in this montage.
I have made some purchases to facilitate the new wardrobe inspiration.
Ted Baker BELLLEE Satin pleated front culottes now £69 sadly these are too big (which means the sizing is off) and so they are going to have to go back. But I have ordered the next size down, so I’ll keep you posted.
Hush Hooded Dolman Sloppy Joe now £30
Hush Willow crop flare jeans now £25 These may also have to go back as I’m not sure I like the look of them on. Just a weird jean thing.
Marks and Spencer Utility High Waist Wide Leg Cropped Jeans £25 Will let you know what these are like, as they haven’t arrived yet.
I’ve half an idea that I might create a Pinterest board with my work wardrobe in, so I can add new outfits as/when inspiration hits. Leave that with me.
In other news, I did manage to get my mitts on the Boden boots I mentioned in my post about sales shopping. Which I’m very happy about.
Also, next week my latest obsession… knitted tank tops. No, really. Trust me.
