A round up of this seasons trends

wardrobe

I was considering skipping this post altogether as I’m sooo late with it, but the next round of posts will make more sense with this included, so indulge me.

Now, don’t get me wrong I’m no slave to fashion, but I work under the assumption that, if I keep my hand in at the trend thing, then hopefully I won’t end up wandering around the shops in a state of bewilderment because I’ve no idea whether something is now or nan.

So here’s a quick round up of what’s generally going on out there, in case you don’t already know (which you probably do). There isn’t anything you haven’t seen before (when was the last time that happened?) But there are some pleasing new twists on the usual winter looks.

First up, leather. Leather is everywhere. Skirts, dresses, blouses. But mostly trousers and culottes.

Hush leather joggers £295

Biker boots. Need to get in touch with your inner rock chick for this look, I think I’ll be adding a pair of these to my wish list.

Dr Marten Jagger Platform Boots £199.00

Midnight florals. So just florals with a black background then? Still, there are some lovely examples of this trend out there.

Rixo Bonnie – English Floral Black £295

Cord. Lots of cord trousers. Very 70s.

Uniqlo corduroy high waisted wide leg trousers £14.90.

Pussy bow blouses. More 70s.

Me+em pussy bow blouse in sugar pink reduced from £149 to £74.

Trouser suits. Lots of styles and colours. We’ve taken the men’s work wardrobe and now we’re owning it.

Boden trousers in dark rose £39.00

Statement jumpers. All well and good, but how do you get your coat on?

French Connection Normie High Neck Jumper, Black Grape. Reduced from £95 to £45

Voluminous sleeves. Probably done best at Zara.

Checks/tweed. Already bought this one. The sleeves have a bring pink lining, which I’m loving.

Marks & Spencer British Wool Tweed Hacking Jacket £89.00

Ok, so haven taken this all in, I’ve come up with my winter wardrobe plan. That’s where I look at what’s new that season and then pick a few keys pieces to update my wardrobe. But that’s a post for another day.
